Members of the Leeds Co-operative Group warmly invite you to attend Hungry for Activism: A conference to inform, educate and inspire action on food politics!
Supported by The Co-operative Group, TIDAL, and Leeds City Council Hungry for Activism will offer people in Leeds the opportunity to learn more about the food politics, engage in debate on the topic and organise for change. The day will contain a mixture of presentations, discussions, hands-on workshops, and will close with an open space session.
There are a dozen sessions to choose from, hosted by organisations as diverse as the Permaculture Association, This is Rubbish, Sustain, Leeds City Council, the Fairtrade Foundation and Friends of the Earth to name but a few. There will also be stalls from local organisations involved in food campaigning, distribution and production.
The event is free, but we ask that you register to help our preparations.
The event has kindly been funded by the Leeds and Wakefield Area Committee of the Co-operative Group and the venue given without charge by Leeds City Council.

Fantastic, really looking forward to this.
Sounds wonderful. Feeling a tiny bit hopeful for a future after Richard Branson and the BBC have been talking about Peak Oil this week.
